Old Sac Clean-up and GRR

Do not plant any Letterboxes for the GRR until after April 23rd! PG&E
is planning a "clean-up" of Old Sac on April 23rd and it may not be a
good idea to have any floating around at that time. I'm fairly sure
that "Old Sac" by NancyAnn & Doug is well hidden enough that it should
be safe, but others should be aware of the above mentioned "clean
sweep." See the blurb below. It's called Earth Day 2005 and you can
go to http://www.pge.com/ and see what other state parks and parks
that are affected in other counties. It lists all of the counties and
what areas they are cleaning up, just in case there are boxes in other
areas that may be in jeopardy.

Project: Landscaping a 1660 sq-ft area; constructing a footpath;
weeding and removing debris along fence line
Location: Come into Old Sac on I Street heading west. Pass beneath the
I-5 freeway and come to a T intersection at Second Street (you'll see
the Railroad Museum straight ahead). Turn right onto Second Street. Go
about 100 feet and turn left into a parking lot behind a fence (a sign
reads 'authorized parking only'). This is the north side of the
Railroad Museum. Drive all the way to the far end of the parking lot
(west toward the river) to park.
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Volunteers: 30-40
Bring: Pants, boots, gloves, hat, sunscreen, water
